GYŐR

The chassis experts of thyssenkrupp Automotive Systems in Győr have been assembling complete drivetrains for Audi Hungária Motor Kft.
Although test operations have been active since 1 August 2012, our factory unit officially opened on 21 June 2013.

Our plant produces front and rear drivetrains for the Audi A3 limousine and the A3 Cabrio, and since 2014, for the Audi TT as well. Due to significantly higher market needs than expected from 2015 we had to increase our production capacity by nearly 30%, meaning that currently we are responsible for assembling front and rear running gear units for 660 cars daily, using a JIS (just-in-sequence) system.

Péter, Logistics Associate

“I have been working at thyssenkrupp for four and a half years now, after having seen the job vacancy in a local paper. I immediately noticed the logos of the numerous well-known partner companies, which told me that I would be entering an environment with a quality background and a high level of expertise. The atmosphere is very open and friendly, and it is very reassuring to know that they trust me, and that I can turn to anyone at any time.”

Orsolya, Purchaser

“For me, thyssenkrupp is a globally recognised automotive corporation where people would truly love to work. I find my job to be rewarding, diverse, and full of challenges. I am able to use my language skills on a daily basis, as we need to be in continuous contact both with our suppliers and with our project management headquarters in Germany. The launch of any given product line requires very strong teamwork, which is something we are excellent at. The company's management pays attention to its employees, and places great emphasis on occupational safety and health protection and on creating a proper working environment, which are things I consider to be very important.”

József, Logistics Team Leader

“I have been working at the Győr unit of thyssenkrupp for two years, and was told about the vacancy by local colleagues. I applied and was accepted. I love that no two days are the same in logistics. Work is never boring, since we have to prove ourselves in a new setting every time. The collective spirit is also outstanding. We help each other, and we solve problems and issues together whenever we can.”

Zoltán, Operator

“I found thyssenkrupp’s vacancy announcement in a Győr newspaper. I'm in production, where the work is highly organised and predictable. I find the stability to be reassuring but appreciate that the company and management still have the necessary flexibility. The atmosphere is great, and it is easy to become part of the team. I have made friends with many of my colleagues, spending time together outside of work for years now.”

Andreas, Quality Assurance Manager

“I have been here since the very beginning. At the time, I was completely new to the world of drivetrain production, but I have learned an incredible amount since then. I am very satisfied, as we get along extremely well with both customers and with my colleagues. This is reflected in the quality of our products as well.”

Roland, Logistics Team Leader

„I started as a logistics technician, and I was appointed team leader after just a year and a half. I’ve also been given the opportunity to attend a crane operator course, and I will soon be joining my colleagues in a German language course. The atmosphere and the company are both great, I’m fully satisfied with my job. I’ve spent all of my time here developing and growing.”

More about us

More than 140 employees working at the plant manufacture 750 front and rear axle units per day in a so-called "just-in-sequence" delivery system at a remarkable pace.
In the assembly hall of 5200 m2 floor area, it takes exactly 176 minutes from receipt of the order to the delivery of a completed running gear unit to the client, allowing for thousands of different axle variations.
With this procedure, each component is delivered to the factory of Audi in Győr at the precise time when it has to be installed into the vehicle. This method is not only cost efficient, but also environmentally friendly, as no delivery fleet is needed for the company, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions.
