JÁSZFÉNYSZARU

Overhead camshafts and electro-mechanical power steering (developed in our competence centre in Budapest) will be produced for the international auto industry in our factory unit, which is to be opened soon in Jászfényszaru.

Our company opened a new unit in 2016, in addition to its existing sites in Budapest and Győr. From 2018, this new unit supports the work of the Hungarian development engineers in the E/E (electrical and electronic) competence centre of thyssenkrupp in Budapest. The green field investment was launched in April 2016, with two businesses units.

Steering

Our Steering business unit was launched in the second half of 2017. Our facilities are manufacturing electro-mechanical power steering (C-EPS type) for the international auto industry, designed by our engineers in the competence centre in Budapest. These "smart" steering systems use electromotive assistance instead of traditional hydraulic systems that constantly require energy, meaning that they only use energy when they actually turn the steering wheel, saving up to 0.3 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres, depending on the type of car. In addition, electromotive assistance is more reliable than traditional hydraulic systems, and requires less maintenance work.

Camshafts

The main profile of our Camshaft business unit involves the manufacture of overhead camshafts. These components are highly innovative and cost-efficient, since less raw material is used in their production, and they have lower power consumption and lower energy demands for their production, due to their reduced weight. The test facility began operations in March 2017, and currently has more than 300 employees working in the newly constructed manufacturing halls, with jobs related to production, maintenance, logistics, quality assurance, IT, and management. We have a significant number of employees employed in shift work in the facility.

Camshafts

Róbert, Machinery Operator

“A newly launched factory always provides numerous opportunities. There are a lot of opportunities to advance, mostly professionally, as the machinery fleet is quite sophisticated. Although we are still at the very beginning of the process, my experiences have been excellent: the environment is pleasant, my colleagues are cooperative, the management is flexible and the atmosphere is friendly.”

Camshafts

György, Production Manager

“The work is very intense, but I think this is because we have created a new site from scratch. We are establishing the rules and creating the entire system all by ourselves. This is not an opportunity that comes around often in life: to be involved in a process from the very beginning. There are unexpected things that one cannot prepare for, but these challenges are exactly what make this so exciting.”

Camshafts

Dániel, Mechanic Maintenance Technician

“I have been working here since November 2016. The hall was still empty back then, so we actually started in Germany, where we studied the operation of the machines for 2 weeks. It was great to be here from the very beginning, because we’ve learned and seen a lot during this time. I am a mechanic maintenance technician, but have recently been asked to work as a so-called ‘fluid technician’, someone who is responsible for refilling machinery oil and coolants and measuring emulsion-pH. This means that I now have the opportunity to grow in an even greater number of areas.”

Camshafts

Gábor, Maintenance Manager

“I have always worked at auto industry companies, and I think this is the future. This may be the most professional sector to work in in Hungary today. There are numerous challenges, as we must not only construct the factory, but the entire system and each department as well. This involves a lot of work, but I'm really enjoying myself, as I see that it is worth the effort. In addition, the team I have here is outstanding, both as individuals and as professionals.”
